The Bonfils Family: Images of the Levant in the late 1800's

In the late 1800's, the Bonfils Family took photographic pictures of the Levant, which is now Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. At that time, the Middle East was experiencing the Industrial Revolution which boosted tourism through creation of railways and better roads. The Bonfils Family were passionate in photographing such beautiful part of the world, and their photos still remain to this day in libraries and various forms of postcards and posters.
